Characters: Nathan Wallace, open. Setting: Entrance Room. Time: Day 009. Summary: An odd, delirious man appears in the house. Warnings: Blood, gore, and Dr. Wallace?
Jennifer looked over from the spot she had fallen to, and her eyes boggled when she saw a man crawling, bleeding on the ground!
For a moment her memory flashed back to Lotte. She was laying there, on the earthen ground, the candles surrounding her signifying that it was a ritualistic injury.
"Shilo?!"
The cry of the doctor shocked her out of her dream, and she scrambled over.
"What happened?!" Jennifer didn't know at all how to handle injuries, "I ... I wouldn't move. Are you all right?"
She sank to her knees, ignoring the blood that was staining her legs, and tried to figure out how to help.
Nathan's body tensed when he heard another, talking. Was he hallucinating? He couldn't be sure if this was some sort of strange near death experience. His eyes were wide in an expression of confusion, like she was speaking some unknown language. Softly he managed to say ,"..Where's my..daugh..ter?"
At her question about what occurred, he moved his hand from his side. This quick motion revealed the gunshot wound that was still steadily spewing blood ,"..My Shilo."
It was likely he would die, without quick treatment. That didn't matter here though, did it? The man would wake up in the attic if worst came to worst. He didn't know that though.
"I... I don't know. I don't know, I'm sorry!" Jennifer held her hands to her face before biting her lip.
A gunshot wound.
Jennifer didn't trust herself to try and pull the bullet out. She had heard Assistant-Inspector Gotts rant about first aid a few times... if only they had gone over this better in the Granite Orphanage!!
But she had an inkling of what to do, so she put both of her hands over the gunshot wound and applied pressure, hoping to slow the bleeding.
"Help!" she cried, hoping someone else could hear, "Help, please! This man is greaty injured!!"
Who was this person? Why was she trying to help him? Where was Shilo? And where was heHe could hardly think though, the man's thoughts were fuzzy. Rotti must have dragged him here to die, yes? He knew he was indeed dying, Nathan could feel the blackness creeping up on him oh so slowly. He..did want to survive this, for his daughter's sake. However, he very well knew that his system was declining. Shilo did save him, she rescued him from his fate ,"then..who..?" he paused ,"..a-re you
