The day was far from over, and Yosuke had a lot to digest. Without warning or explanation, most of his friends had been dumped in the house just as he and Nanako-chan had been. It had been an emotionally tiring day - the excitement at seeing some of his friends once more had fought bitterly with the hopelessness that came with their situation. They were still stuck, with the only difference being more of them were stuck. Well, no, that wasn't quite the only difference. Everyone's arrival had added a whole new layer of questions to their plate. How could it be that Yosuke had left and nobody ever noticed him gone? How could they be from that far into the future? Did that mean the future was set in stone? Knowing what he did now, could he change the future somehow? Considering everything, did he even want to believe that he could? What sort of things had he even done in that time that he didn't know about yet? Mysteries piled atop mysteries with fresh mysteries on top, and for once, Yosuke didn't know where to begin thinking. Sure, he ( ... )

Chie had turned to examine the door once she realized she was in a house, but finding it wouldn't open, was immediately on guard. She supposed it could just be locked--but she was inside, wasn't she? And it didn't look like there was a lock on it. It reminded her of some of the doors within the television, but the TV world didn't look anything like this anymore. Unless it had changed, but Teddie was watching it.

The voice she heard was familiar, and so she turned. "Yosuke! I'm fine. Where are we?" She was confused enough not to question his asking how she was; right now she just wanted to know where she was.

A small sigh of relief escaped Yosuke's lips. She was confused (and who could blame her?), but she was alright. It was only after looking her over for injuries that he realized how silly it was. Why the hell would he do something like that? It wasn't like he was suddenly injured when he arrived. Neither was Nanako-chan, or anyone else for that matter! He needed to stop - Chie was confused, and he was just staring at her like an idiot.

"I'm not really sure where we are. No one is, not even the people who've been here longer than me. It's some kind of big house. It's huge, and nothing in it really makes sense. Also, we're pretty sure it's not the TV world. Nobody knows how we got here either - everyone just sorta... fell in." He summarized the house as best he could, waiting for the inevitable flood of questions and heading off as many of them as he could. He wasn't doing much, but answering her questions was at least more than just standing and staring at her.

Chie frowned as Yosuke proceeded to look her over, wondering if she was seeing things--he didn't want an injury that badly, did he?--before she blinked and he'd stopped. For now, she'd let it slide, although she did shoot him a warning look. He should be grateful for her kindness; were he not the source of information at the moment, she wouldn't have let him get away with it. And she wouldn't a second time.

And then he answered a lot of her questions, so her decision proved to be a sound one. But wait, he mentioned everyone... "So everyone's here?"

"A month? You've been here a--there's no way you've been gone a month," Chie said, and didn't even realize he was staring at her because she was too busy gaping at him. She'd seen him earlier that day back in Inaba. But he didn't remember any of the case after Naoto joined? But he'd been there the whole time, she was sure of it. She remembered the arguments. Even attempting to imagine the team without Yosuke was impossible.

"Y-yeah, if time is that weird here, then every second we're here could be an hour back home. Or more," she said nervously. "But--But you were right there this morning, I saw you."

Yosuke wanted to laugh - there was something about Chie's gaping that tickled his funny bone. He probably would have, if the situation were a little less serious. As it was, he just shrugged again. "Well, say what you want, but I know I've been here for a while."

Time passing differently between Inaba and the house was something Yosuke had considered, though it didn't explain how he'd apparently never left the town. In fact, Chie brought a question to mind that he had meant to ask earlier but had forgotten. "That's right, you said you saw me, right? What were we doing? Er, what was I doing?"

Chie thought back--it hadn't been anything too unusual, had it? Nothing to make it stick out particularly in her mind, anyway. Oh, right. "Complaining about some of the girls who work at Junes," she said. "And how they were gonna blame you for them getting fired."

And then that had led to an argument, though she couldn't quite remember why at the moment. It didn't really matter. Nothing weird had happened at all between then and now.

Well, that sounded like something he would do, something he would say. He could even picture the girls in his mind (though if it were really months down the road, who knew? It could've been anyone. They really needed to stop hiring the gaudy, annoying ones.) It didn't really give him any answers, though. If anything, it just raised more questions in his mind.

"Right, okay. Heh, at least when they get canned there won't be anyone to blame! Oh, speaking of Junes, I was about to grab a bite to eat. The kitchen's right over there, you want to come?"
