Characters: Mio Amakura, Zetsu Setting: Fairy Bedroom Time: Day 008, at some point after the tunnels unlock Summary: More memory invasion~ Poor Zetsu. ♥ Warnings: failOP again, lolangst.
Zetsu's thoughts were running right along the same line as Mio's, for the most part. His reserves were already running low from being stuck down there for so long, and the constant paranoia had done nothing to help him conserve them, nerve-wracking as it had been. The one important difference had quite simply been a matter of habit, for the most part--he was starved. No doubt Mio was too, but he was far more used to having the dual sources of food from normal eating, and from his leaves' photosynthesis, the latter of which had been completely unavailable for obvious reasons. Lacking that kind of energy

Mio's hazed shifted off to the side as she noticed him looking her over before moving over to the desk to set her flashlight down. "Ah, I'm fine." She forced a smile of her own, but it was short lived, fading after a few seconds when it was no longer seemed necessary. He looked....she couldn't say he looked well, but he seemed to be managing, at least. She was still worried for him, but...perhaps even more disconcerting was the fact that she now noticed the filament glowing a blue color. Normally she was more sensitive to it, if for other reason than the way she sensed abnormalities just as easily as the camera did more often than not, the way her heart began racing or chills ran down her spine

"Good." Zetsu approved; after the ordeal in the basement, he wasn't sure what he could have done if she weren't alright. He doubted he had the energy left to do much of any healing..... Anything he did for her for a little while now would have to be mundane in nature.
He blinked in some confusion at the camera's filament glowing blue, frowning and moving closer to glance at it. With the memory of paranoia still fresh in his mind from their stay in the tunnels, his first thought was parallel to Mio's--he worried that something was wrong, something dangerous might be nearby, rather than considering that it might be reacting to his clone.
Stepping over to look at the camera had nudged the corner of the desk, though; Mio's flashlight wobbled at being disturbed, rolling towards the edge.
Mio didn't object to Zetsu's moving closer, not managing to put two and two together as the camera's filament flared up even brighter than before. She raised the viewfinder, paying careful mind to the dimming and brightening of the glow of the filament as she scanned the area, searching carefully for the search. Sometimes all that was left was shadows, after all. Afterimages of what had once been--of the sunken woman being dragged down to her death or the frozen woman or the woman in the box--, things that could only be seen through the photographs of this camera. That didn't bother her, nor did how increasingly close the plantman was coming. Even the soft sound of the flashlight, while unnerving, was ignored as she continued her search for a ghost that did not exist
