Most of the meat cleaned from the animal's carcass, he dug the knife into the human corpse's arm. Thawed enough. About as frozen as a demon finished off with a Bufu spell. He slipped the piece into his mouth, chewing thoughtfully before swallowing.

"The Embryon are not traitors. Our comrades are as much a part of us as our own bodies."

"The Embryon?" Lorenzo echoed with some interest, offering no commentary of his own on the matter. Certainly he could have thought of a number of things to say, could have recollected how his own flesh and blood had managed to betray him, but the alchemist saw little to be gained from doing so.
