I love this story. You have this raw, beautiful way of making things sound. The only issue I have is that I'm reasonably certain it's impossible to get from Jersey to LA in three days. I moved from LA to Jersey, and even driving on like, five hours of sleep last night it took seven days and we drove REALLY fast; trying to make Christmas eve). You could maybe do it in five and a half, as long as you don't stop for anything touristy or long lunches, or you know, sleep much. Anyway, I can't wait for more of this thing; it's one of my favorites. :)
