rae. i love you. seriously. i love you like. massive amounts. you are amazing. and i totally needed this kinda fic right now. the memories god, they were perfect. totally the most adorable thing ever and god this line:

“I promise Joe, it’s okay. It’s gonna be okay. We’re gonna stick together and… and we’re gonna pray and just, tomorrow the sun’s gonna be huge just for you, you’ll see.”

totally owns my heart. like. i got all warm and fuzzy inside thinking about how much nick cares and how he's sure that even the universe is gonna bend to make joe happy because thats what he deserves. i just. i love you. end of story.

This was SO therepeutic to write. Just so that I could reassure myself that Joe had Nick at his side, and so I could remind myself that in the grand and awesome scheme of Joseph Adam Jonas Camilla...will be important of course, but not everything, and he has a lot to make him feel like it's gonna be okay.

I hope the universe does bend backwards for him, especially if anyone/thing happened to be listening then when I got all lame and attempted to pray for him >.<.

GAH this was so heartwrenching - in a totally good way ; )

I loved the flashback at the beginning - Nick climbing on Joe's lap to swing, sipping apple juice, Nick stealing Joe's glasses, the cape! So adorable.

And then the present tense stuff just got me - I loved Nick calling Joe 'Joey' and asking Joe if he needed a hug. Gah. And I love, love, love the boys playing with each other's hair especially when it is done as an act of comfort - "He pets Joe’s hair, catching the curls within his fingers, smoothing the strands with the pad of his thumb and he’s gentle enough, sincere enough, to rouse the suggestion of a smile from Joe." I adored that.
