Round 02: Themes
Guidelines!
o1 This goes without saying, but any sort of cheating or plagiarizing will not be tolerated.
o2. No prior work may be submitted - these icons must be made for this icontest round.
o3. Icons must be under 40 KB, be 100x100 pixels and in .png, .jpg or .gif format.
o4. Post a preview within the community, and link to your journal post with the full set of 20 - or use a cut.
o5. Unless your character appears solely in episode 7x01 Asylum of the Daleks and onward (ex. Oswin Oswald), pleasre refrain from using any screen shots from season 7 of Doctor Who.
o6. No private or "friends only" icon posts.
o7. Use this subject in your preview post: Round##: (character name).
o8. Tag entries with !round:##, character: (name).
o9. Sign-ups will remain open the whole round.
1o. Completed entries are due at the 27th of the month, midnight GST.
Themes!
5 Technical Themes:
o1: Bottom Focus
The emphasis of the icon should be in the bottom of the icon.
o2: Scale
People perceive space based on the scale of objects; people all tend to be the same size but houses tend to be bigger than people. Experiment with that perception.
o3: Grunge
Your icon needs to look dirty. This can be achieved through texture or having the subject of the icon look dirty.
o4: Angled
The subject of your icon should not be head-on. It should be visible at an angle of some sort.
o5: Silhouette
Your icon must contain a silhouette.
5 Inspirational Themes:
o1: No Eyes
o2: Wild Card
o3: Blue
o4: Wanderlust
o5: This Song
5 Category: Gradient
The colours of your icons should grow in intensity or change from one to another (you may use as many colours as you wish, but there must be at least 2).
5 Artist's Choice:
Absolutely anything you want goes here!
