[Amelia doesn't contact anyone right away when the latest experiment ends. She doesn't have time for that, or to even acknowledge the growing sense of disgust creeping over her body. She's actually touched someone, and him of all people. All right, so maybe she shudders as she gets some things together, a bare minimum of supplies before Legato gets his head together enough to be on his way over. Amelia may not have the same experience with him as Vash and the others, but it doesn't take too much guessing to figure out that misplaced anger is right up Legato's alley. And if he's half as pissed off and horrified by what's happened as Amelia? Well.
She hasn't forgotten exactly what it felt like to have him controlling her arm.
Being a bounty hunter on Gunsmoke, and a female on top of that, Amelia's developed a decent set of survival skills. So she'll be well enough on her own for the first few days. But there's neither enough mouthwash nor disinfectant in the world to make up for the past week and a half, much less what she can cram into her bag with a few other essentials. And she's well aware that she can't live in the forest forever. She just has to outlast Legato's wrath, something that sounds so much simpler than it undoubtedly is.
So on the second night, she sends out a journal message. Ironically enough, it's protected from Legato thanks to what he taught her.]
