Hm...I wonder how strange it is, if you've been here for maybe ten years and then suddenly were sent back home and lost all those years

[Ah, yes, the timey-wimey/memory issues. Pao-lin had been thinking on those as early as her first conversation with Yui at the musical play.]
I like to think that we'll hold a part of our time in Luceti inside us, even if we don't know it's there. I hope that even if I don't remember specific people from Luceti or anything like that whenever I go back home, I'll have a warm feeling in my heart that helps me be a better person!
And my birthday is April 4! [GDI, Sunrise, you've already jossed me on her age; if you joss me on her birthday I'm going to flip tables into the sun.]
Mm. I want to believe that too. Memories we make are so precious to everyone...I don't want to believe all of it is forgotten. Hehe, and we also have the mural soon. That'll always be there.
[There's a faint smile on her face as there's sounds of something being scribbled down.] Ok, I'll put down your birthday so I'll remember to celebrate it.
Yeah, though it's too bad I wouldn't be able to tell my friends back in Sternbild about the mural. Unless that's one of the things I actually remember when I go home.
[Pao-lin's a bit too acquainted with the fragility and unreliability of memories for her comfort. Not as much as Barnaby, obviously, but acquainted enough that it still causes her to question the potency of memories to withstand assault. But ultimately she'll continue to believe in friendship to pull everything through.]
Well, I'll get you a gift, at least! [...except...what is she going to give to Yui? It's not like she can just buy something from the stores, because everything is free already. And Pao-lin can't really cook yet; she's been meaning to try, but all the food from Seventh Heaven and the bakery is just so delicious...] I can draw you something!
O-Okay. Thank you, I really do appreciate this. [She's smiling ear to ear on the other side. It's always a wonderful feeling to hear someone being so nice.]
It's no problem at all! I'm glad to do something for a friend, even if we haven't known each other for very long. [Idea!] Ah, maybe we should do something for Christmas, too. They celebrate Christmas in Luceti, right?
[She hides a bit of laughter, as she had already made super secret plans to do something for Christmas.]
I have no idea. I've never celebrated Christmas here, but I'm sure a lot of people will be!
....Ahh! This will be the first time I'll be celebrating Christmas in Luceti! [This sudden revelation just excites her, eventhough she's been blabbing about Christmas god knows how long now]
[Pao-lin is oblivious to Yui's evil Christmas scheming.]
Yeah, it'll be mine, too. I mean, if I don't get sent home before then or anything like that. [She's rather conflicted -- she misses Sternbild and wants to see her parents for the winter holidays, like she's done for the past few years, but there are a lot of nice people in Luceti that she wouldn't mind celebrating with, either. Her expression is some weird indecisive cross between a smile and a frown, and there's definitely a hint of sadness in her otherwise cheerful voice.]
Mmm that's right. We can be sent home at any time here...[She's thinking the very same thing right now too. She's met so many new people here and made so many friends, it would be hard to say goodbye to them all. At the same time, it felt strange not to be back home with your own family.]
I wish the Malnosso would let us send something home, somehow if we're going to be here during Christmas. Or if I do go home, I'll be sure to remember to leave gifts behind for everyone.

When's your birthday, Yui?

[She just doesn't want to believe that everything completely goes away.]
Oh it's...November 14th. [She feels a little awkward mentioning that, considering it just passed.]
