Gaara had more or less run away from his office to actually get some work done without interuptions. He never minded when Botan popped in, of course, it was teh rest of the village he was hiding from.

His hidingplace of choise was teh roof of his home.

"Hmm?" He looked up from the report he was reading, his grip on it firm to keep it from being stolen by the wind.

And Koenma walks through the door. But, for once, he's in his teenage form. It's still obviously Koenma, seeing the JR on his forehead.

"Ogre, that was the worst entry ever!"

Thank the gods! This form will not cause Kankuro to break down with laughter.

But Gaara on teh otehr hand is wondering what teh hell the prince and teh ogre was doing, and it shows on his face.

Jorge looks weepy, as usual. "I'm sorry, Koenma-sama! I was just trying to give you a more urban image." The prince sighs, and gives Gaara his well wishes.

And lets get this party started! Keiko and Yukina have returned with refreshments, and now it's just mingle time!

Yuusuke and Kuwabara seem to be hounding the birthday boy. "Soooo, how's life with our little lady?"

"It's very good, thank you." There's a little flicker of something in Gaara's eyes. "Things have finally returned somewhat back to normal." He pauses to take a sip of his drink. "How are thing on your end?"

"Good." Yuusuke answers. "Keiko's been a little on edge lately about something."

"Yukina-san and I have been seeing each other for a while now." Kuwabara looks serious. "I dunno, guys. I think I'm ready for commitment."

Yuusuke laughs. "You? Come on!"

There's that litte Gaara-smile again. While Kuwa certainly is an... odd guy, Gaara would be happy if things work with him and Yukina.

"Make her happy," he says, sipping his drink again.

Yuusuke laughs. "Sure. I'd like to see her happy, too. Even if she is from a land where her brother's the only thing with a cock."

He walks off, Kuwabara storming after him. Botan walks up after they leave. "What was going on?"

"Me rooting for Kuwabara and Yuusuke being... not so nice." HE shakes his head, but that smile remains. Pulling her close he places a kiss on her forehead.

"What's going on over there?" He asks, nodding towards Keiko singing karaoke.

"Keiko-chan's playing a song on Genkai's special karaoke machine."

She grabs his hand. "Sing with me. Just for your birthday, okay?"

"Sing? Me? I don't think I would be all that good at it. Besides, I know very few songs."

Botan, you'll have to really convince him about this.
