an ambivalence of sherlocks

I liked the first series of Sherlock. I liked it a lot. Maybe I just needed a new fandom at the time or maybe I was more willing to cut the show some slack, but it was my jam. I feel the same, although I liked Irene (she did get shit on, though). I am indifferent to the return of Sherlock at this point.

I want to like their version of Irene, but compared to so man other modern interpretations of Irene, it feels like it was trying too hard with the seductress/temptress vibe, not to mention the whole dominatrix thing. I found it grating on so many levels.
