I can't believe I missed Seasonal Spuffy free day! It's been that kind of couple of weeks -- I blinked, and then it was gone. Wah.
Ah, well. I'll just keep posting here when I get the chance. So, a little Halloweenish scare reading for you -- part the third of my as-yet nameless fic, a BtVS Season 7 redux.

What a pity that this isn't canon!

My feelings on the canon are I guess the same as anyone writing fanfic - I just want more, although sometimes what I want more of kind of differs with what we actually got. ; )

Thanks! Although I did sort of like the creepy potential in that phrase, originally... it just didn't really go anywhere that was quite as resonant as it sounded. Which is a shame, IMHO.

Love the apathetic students.

I was probably one of the only people who thought we should've had more screen time devoted to the students of Sunnydale High. I mean, the whole high-school-in-hell thing hardly stopped being relatable since Buffy graduated, yes?

And yes to touching on xander's insecurities about work. That was another screw up - we went from Xander digging in Pangs to him getting a promotion to foreman (and master carpenter, apparently?) with very little in between. Workplace situations would have been the natural place for the show to go once it dropped high school and college, but except for Doublemeat Palace...eh, never mind.

You're reading my mind: yes, if you're going to assert that the characters are adults with jobs now, then bring on the workplace issues! And if you want to do the high school thing, that's why Dawn is in the cast. Best of both worlds!
