Oh, yass! The sprightly dialogue! The underlying thread of doom! The relationships that aren't quite relating! I am so there. Right with you. Yup. Carry on. *happy sigh*
Oh, it's you! You're back with a good story! My day is made. Consider your back fed. And keep going. I always have faith in your stories. Always. Can't wait to see how you handle a certain reunion.... Voices are pitch-perfect...
It's me! I'm back! And I'm glad you think the story is good! : )
The reunion part is actually written. so that's coming. What to do from there I'm a bit more hazy on, since I didn't really care for the way things were handled in "Beneath You," etc. - too much empty space in the middle of the season. I'll probably be moving the plot along much faster.
It's always exciting when an old-timer returns to the fandom with new ideas. But it's especially exciting when this old-timer is you! I still remember the thrill of reading and eagerly awaiting the next chapter of "Does it have to mean something?"
I'm thrilled that you decided to reinvent season 7. Buffy/s Dawn's Xander's voices are perfect.
My favorite moment:
"No, no. Or, I dunno about the school board, but on the building reports, yeah. I mean, the whole area is riddled with caves and tunnels like everywhere in Sunnydale, but the building is rock solid. I give you my solemn word: that thing'll stand up to anything short of an apocalypse."
All three people in the kitchen exchanged uncomfortable glances. Nobody really wanted to say it. Like that never comes up around here.
Heee! Don't say an A-word, Xander! You'll jinx it!
I enjoyed the start, and I look forward to the next chapter.
Heh heh, I'm an old timer! Get off my porch, kids! Hee.
Seriously, thank you so much! I'm really overwhelmed by the response.
So glad you liked the bit about the apocalypse. I think there may be a theme developing about getting into things that you already know are a bad idea, and how you deal with that.
Thank you! It's lovely to be back. Sorry I've been so worthless about giving feedback on your writing over the last few - I've enjoyed every bit I've seen, but just never seemed to find the time to tell you so. : (
