That was when she remembered where they were. And what they were doing.
Yawning, she ran a hand through her hair to tame the bed hair, before she started to dress. She settled on jeans, a long-sleeved shirt, and a light jacket over that. Still, since she hadn't brought her makeup, she nonetheless looked sleepy and with her hair going in a couple different directions when she emerged.
"Some things never change," she commented as she walked to join him. "Like how I can't stand how you're a morning person when I just wanna sleep."

He clicked the burners off on the small stove and then took a seat next to her. He was also dressed appropriately, in jeans, boots, and a jacket.
It fit the situation quite well.

However, like most people in the world, she was grateful for coffee and food (moreso coffee, because that would wake her up), and she ate quietly for a moment before she leaned her head lightly against his shoulder.
"It's kinda cute, to be honest, though. Always really comforting and reassuring for me. You've been my rock through my whole adult life. It's good to have a home to come to and someone who wants me there, you know?"
A small smile. "So what's the plan for today, boss?"

"Well," he took a sip of the coffee. "We have a few options. We can hang out here, or we can go out...it's not quite fishing weather, I think later in the week will be good for that. We need to pick up some more ice," he said. "They sell it back at the ranger station a few miles out. We could pick some up and also grab a map of the trails around the area, maybe take a hike? I'm sure some of them we can take the dog on with us."
