I usually try to resist, because OMG do I hate it when writers post the beginning of something that I really want to read, and then never post anything again ever

Aww, this was so sweet. "You're my Cara". C/D is not my OTP by a long shot, but you've created a soft spot in my heart for these two here, and I'm rooting for them... at least until Kahlan shows up. ;)

Thank you! I'm massively excited about this fic, so I'm glad my little teaser was able to pique your interest in it. I promise, Cara/Kahlan is one of my ultimate goals in this epic, though it will take awhile to get there. You will get to see Kahlan for a brief while at the end of this particular installment, and some limited interaction between the two of them. I'm predicting that it will be a lot of fun maneuvering their interactions in this AU :)
