Thanks for sharing this story! This is an interesting take on C&K first getting together - and I use that phrase loosely, as they are not together here at all. As you said recently, your vocabulary changes depending on what type of story you're writing (fluff or dark, for example) and I'm guessing your wording here was just as deliberate. Well done

my mind can't help wondering what comes next I completely understand; in fact, as I was writing this, I couldn't help but think of how Kahlan would feel having let Cara touch her, having been that intimate with her sister's murderer. It definitely made for an interesting rewatch of "Broken" afterward

Nnnnngh. This was incredibly hot. I loved the angry sex, and your take on it so early in their relationship is delicious (and something I haven't seen in a while). Also, I pretty much fall over dead whenever Cara has to keep herself from crying out *fans self*

Unrelated to the sex, I really liked this: It hurts, but she is no stranger to pain; she deserves it, even, for letting Kahlan's shove catch her off guard. It feels so true to Cara... how she'd see herself as deserving of pain in return for weakness, even while fighting the so-called enemy.

Thank you! I kinda have a thing for angry!sex, and this was a rare opportunity for me to be able to write porn without ~feelings (they never seem to leave me alone!), which was fun.

Wow, that was really hot. I'm not the biggest fan of an angry sex but somehow you managed to change my mind this time. I was hesitating before reading it, because on the hand: angry sex, on the other hand: Cara/Kahlan early "relationship" (which I find kind of fascinating whith all the mistrust and anger in the air). And after all I'm really glad I read it. You captured their emotions so well. I must say you surprised me, I've never thought that Cara may be wondering what it would be like to have sex with a confessor. And Kahlan coming up to her expectations and even surprising her? Awesome.

And that's my favourite line: "A surge of arrogant pride swells in her chest as she realizes that she's accomplished something that no other Mord-Sith in known history has done: she has fucked a confessor, and is alive to boast about it. " So much like Cara :D

but this story was really great :D I enjoyed reading it. angry sex and Kahlan surprising Cara is awesome.

Haha...well, in this particular universe, Richard would mostly have a problem if Kahlan hadn't quite consented to it; I have a rather epic project in the works that continues in this 'verse that involves Kahlan and Richard being gay BFFs, which should be fun :P
