Anders had long since lost count of the days he'd been in confinement. There was no way to tell how much time passed down in this...this hole

So now we have two mages down in a hole :Pella_hawkeNovember 1 2011, 00:59:54 UTC
When Ella heard about Anders' disappearance, she panicked. The one Anders that I trusted to be safe, and he gets snatched away from me. I'll be damned if I fail him, too. She had Carver snooping around the Gallows for information and the Mage Underground doing whatever they could, while she went off to investigate on her own.
A thunk on the back of her head, and out she went. She woke up in a dark room, squirming in a man's grasp. Next thing she knew she was mid-air, and she landed in the bottom of a hole with the crack of a breaking bone and a cry of pain.
*Fenris growls the words as he slams the Templars' head into the wall. It takes two more rough blows before he speaks and once he does, Fenris rips his heart out. He's that pissed off*
*He finds the door and instead of blasting it to smitherenes like he wants to, he phases through it. Anders is his priority, he has to know his lover is safe. Then he can destroy things.*
Anders? *He looks around in the darkness, still glowing*
Physically, he's fine. A little drained, but okay. But he's absolutely terrified, traumatized. Small, dark spaces terrify him, and the Templars knew this.
The minute he sees Fenris, recognizing him by the distinctive lyrium glow, he hugs him, tight, afraid that if he lets go, he'll be gone.
He really shouldn't be doing this. Cullen really shouldn't be doing this. But there he was, walking up to the higher floors of the Tower where the templars set the mages' prison. Each cell was constructed with high walls and high, narrow windows allowing only little moonlight to shine through. The metal doors were heavy and the walls were made of stone. These were cells meant for storing the most dangerous of mages the Circle captured. The perfect place for Anders of the Anderfels, Cullen thought. He deserved to be here for his numerous escape attempts.
Yet there he was, indeed, right in front of his cell door now in the dead of night. He really shouldn't be doing this. But if he hadn't owed it to anyone, he wouldn't be there in the first place. He raps on the metal door and whispers. "Anders!" He scowls and prays to the Maker the mage was awake. "Anders!"
The Templars have been expecting an escape or a rescue. They double the guard on the hole each night.
Which is why Hawke's here during the day. Everyone's too busy to pay attention. Besides, she has A Plan. And a backup plan. And another backup plan. Well, the second backup plan is more along the lines of "Stab everything until everyone's gotten out", but it's something of a plan, right?
She ties the end of a rope to a torch-sconce, and uses it to lower herself down into the hole, shimmying down quickly and landing next to Anders with a slight thump. "Anders?" she whispers.

"You didn't really think I'd let them keep you here, did you?" It's too dark to see anything, but his voice doesn't sound injured... "Are you all right? Can you stand? My friend up there can tow you up if need be, but if you can climb this will all be much, much easier."

Anders looks up, pulling himself out of the ball he's been curled up in. That didn't sound like one of the Templars. That sounded like a woman.
"Hello?"

"Anders?" she croaks through the pain. "Maker, I was supposed to save you, not end up in here with you."

He breathes and lets out a sigh of relief.
"Where are you...? I can't really see to well, it's too dark...are you okay?"

He looks up, hearing Fenris's voice, hoping that his mind wasn't playing tricks on him, and that this was real.
"...Fenris...?"

*Fenris stalks over and uses the Lyrium to shatter the chains*
Are you hurt?

So when he heard footsteps, he tenses up...until he hears the voice.
"Cullen? What are you doing here?"

"Dare I ask why?"
He's grateful, and that shows in his voice, but he's also confused.

He's shocked to see her, but the relief is evident in his voice.

He shudders a bit.
"I can climb, don't worry."
