"Hello Duls," he greets her with a grumble.

Absently, as she tries to get the polka dots just right on the dog's party hat. 'Was it your day for the clinic? Were you kept late?'

Adding a yellow ball to the top of the hat.

"No."

Varric slams his mug down on the table as he sits opposite Anders.

"What's up, Cocky? You're moving like someone shoved a sword up your ass."

[andersawake]

"You know, if it was a sword, I wouldn't mind." He tries his best to keep his sunny attitude but his face remains contorted with pain. "But sadly not."

"Cocky, if that pain is from injuries you sustained while wrestling that elf of yours, I really don't need to know. It'd take a lot of time and a lot of alcohol to scrub the mental images from my poor, innocent little brain." Varric takes a draught of his beer. "Right, so not a sword, and presumably not a literal sword or you'd be bleeding in a corner somewhere instead of here. We're beginning to narrow it down. Broom handle?"

"Innocent?" He snorts. "And no, not a broom handle either. Keep guessing if you'd like. Doubt you'd be able to understand what happened. Even I can't fully understand how it did."

"You should watch where you spill your drinks better next time," Anders replies with a growl, intentionally avoiding Fenris's gaze.

*The hand withdraws and Fenris moves to sit opposite, looking confused*

"It's hard to explain," Anders groans, burying his face in his hands and wiping it exasperatedly.

Well, that is not good. A grumpy Anders is always a sign of trouble...especially if he looks like he's hurt.

Time to meddle. Bianca sits down next to Anders, ordering herself a drink before giving him A Look.

"Okay, spill. What happened?"

Anders slowly raises his gaze to meet Bianca's. "Nothing," he grumbles and retreats back to his drink.
