WHO: Justin, Hannah, Susan (and Justin and Hannah's mums, but that's what godmodding is for)
WHERE: Hannah's house
WHY: Because Justin's mum is SAD AND LONELY
RATING: PG.. probably..
Justin stood three steps behind his mother as they waited on the Abbott's doorstep. He couldn't believe his luck. It sucked. He'd avoided Hannah like the plague when he'd been forced to attend her party, and now it was happening again, except there'd only be the three of them and it'd be a lot harder to hide.
"Stop slouching, Justin," said his mother.
"Yes, mum," he said, automatically.
"I don't know what they teach you at that school," she continued, checking her hair in the mirror window over the door. "But it certainly isn't good manners."
"It's hardly Eaton, Mum," Justin pointed out for what felt like the millionth time. Soon she'd start off about how he ought to be aiming to follow in his father's footsteps ("You'll be a knight one day, Justin...") or pursuing a career in the top levels of the Ministry, since he insisted on continuing to learn magic. He still nurtured the knowledge that he was free to imagine his parents reactions when he told them he planned to become a writer.
