Padma waited in her room for about fourty-five minutes, reading a book. Then she realized she forgot to tell her parents she was leaving. She was pretty sure both of her parents were asleep or something, so she wrote a note and left it on the kitchen table about fifteen minutes later. She waited on the couch in the room near the front door, expecting Aldrick to be a bit late like usual. As soon as she sat down, she heard a horn from outside. Startled, she poked her head out of the front door...
