I don't have cable, so I watch the episodes on the website, typically selecting the first segment and letting it proceed through the show on its own. When I did that tonight for Monday's show, I was disappointed that the bit with John Oliver from South Africa seemed so short, but I got a pleasant surprise at the end. After the Moment of Zen, they showed the pre-recorded report to be used if England won, and the one to be used if England lost. Both were funnier than the one that aired, so I suggest you give them a look if you can.

I don't know what Stewart was so smug about anyway. There were two goals in that game and both were made by England.
