I never worked for a temp agency. However, everyone I know who has, would work a few months here, a few months there. A month or so without work etc... Look on the bright side. Get the names and phone numbers for all the bitchy/whiney people. So when you get that temp telemarketer job you can call them at dinner time. ;)
i work for the water company right now, and one of my friends suggested "on your last day there, just tell every customer that their water is seriously tainted and should get those radiation tablets as soon as possible"
I work for a temp agency, called Prostaff, allegedly the largest privately held temp agency in the States. In spite of this the people (at least at the Denver branch) are honorable (meaning they balance honesty with optimism), there's some free do-it-yourself training on computers using this thingy called QWIZ, and because Denver's more for construction rather than office stuff right now (our silicon alleys are closed up) not too much work. But find some way to keep in their viewsight, (f'rinstance, do they have the aforementioned QWIZ training?) and you'll do fine.
BTW: you might want to try other temp agencies as well as whatever you're registered at now. A common practice amongst employees is to play the field, so to speak...
