So I emailed New England comics, birth publisher of the Tick, a nice cover letter because they were asking for new talent. I mentioned my bizarro superman poems, silent thunder, and that I was amazingly funny. I didn't think I would hear from them. A few hours later I got a set of guidelines for a submission. I think I already know what the basic plot of my arc would be. I've got to figure out how to actually write a comic book script now.
Anyway, dude are you familar with the original Tick comic books?

that they were examples of really great writing, otherwise no.

Well, the best way I can suggest is writing in story instead of like movie script. I don't think as a writer you worry about the action and have to describe HOW something happens just that it happens

Well I was looking for someone to bounce some nerdy ideas off of.

Comic book scripts are tricky, they're sort of is no real way to write them- but I have a few examples to base my own off of.

They pretty much told me what they want of me- tv characters are off limits, so that means I've got to work with the actual Tick comic book characters who started it all. Thank God I still have my trades.
