I feel you on the K/N OTP, dude ;) They're definitely my fandom OTP, no doubt about it!

I feel your pain about Naomily here, I did feel a little guilty writing the K/N sex in this one but then it's not really cheating in my eyes because it wasn't about the sex at all, so... :)

You're totally right, they needed each other selfishly so that they could take what they needed but I think the surprise was that it was kind of therapeutic and healing which is always a good thing.

Naomi needed that moment to make sure Katie knew that she was being sincere. Katie had said all of the right things for Naomi and reassured her perfectly and although Naomi had reassured Katie physically, I think she realised that a part of Katie would always think that Naomi was just telling her that she was beautiful for the sake of it, when really she did mean and needed Katie to know that - I think they understand each other in a way that's totally unspoken and this was a nice moment to show that :)

Wow, this was awesome! It really captured Katie's vulnerable/badass duality, and I loved that she and Naomi comforted each other with hot sex, but fully knew that was all it was. Can we just cut all the boys out of the show and replace them with girls? This was sooo much better without Thomas ;)

This was so lovely. Katie and Naomi just work, in weird ways, and I wish something like this could have happened on the show at some point, just to get everyone out of their funks.

Anyway, thanks for sharing this with us. Loved it.

Thanks so much dude, I'm glad you liked this one :) And I agree, Katie/Naomi do work in a weird but right way and it's a massive shame that the show didn't take that opportunity in S4 to show just how awesome they could have been as friends :(

This was an excellent piece. I've really begun to enjoy Katie as a much more robust character this time and you have shown her strengths & weaknesses so well here. Both Katie & Naomi are so vulnerable and lonely & you show them connecting on such a raw level. They are using each other but not in a tawdry way. They both gain insight & a level of respect for each other. Delightful!

I was quite impressed by your previous Katie/Naomi piece "Make Tea Not War" but this story is even stronger. I've been a fan of your work for some time now (although a bit remiss on commenting) and you continue to impress! My only regret is I never got to read your RPF fics which a friend was very impressed with. If you ever unlock them again in the future I'd enjoy having a look.

Thank you dude, I'm so pleased that you liked this one and could see what I was trying to do with Katie/Naomi here because I think they are quite similar when it comess to their strengths and weaknesses and how they choose to deal with them.

"Make Tea Not War" was supposed to be a total crack!fic that I somehow ended up taking on a more serious note, obviously nothing compared to what I was trying to achieve here, but, well you know what I mean :)

Ah, the rpf... it was the first thing I ever wrote when I joined the Skins fandom because we barely knew anything about the cast and it was all just a bit of fun, I never felt like I was trying to write anything serious there, so I wouldn't really class it as good stuff.

Thanks dude, I'm glad you liked this moment being Katie/Naomi rather than Katie/Thomas. I really wish the show hadn't wasted such an important Katie moment on him, guh!

Aww thank you, I'm glad that you felt that I kept to S4 canon Katie, I really wanted to try and get across the changes she's gone through as a person since S3, so I'm glad you could pick up on that here :)

I really think they could have taken Katie/Naomi in the show and used them wisely and effectively as friends/not-really-friends, y'know? Such a shame they never shared more scenes.
