I think it's about time people with actual ~talent and brains got hold of these characters and the basis for their storylines and actually made something interesting and significant out of them. Fanfic writers - even the really bad ones are better than the shows writers :(

I agree. I've read some awful fanfics that were better than what I just spent 8 weeks watching :( AWFUL.

Also why have they been granted a third gen? Call it a day Skins, you suck.

You could I think anyway that the actors seemed a little pissed at how the show went looking back at the interviews as much as they enjoyed working with each other & show but none seemed a little off

I just hope channle 4 take on board what the viewers have said & change some things for next year

I spent most of this episode just hoping they wouldn't do something else that was unfixable.

God, I've no recognisable talent, but I actually think I could do better than this. Looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with )

I think a monkey could fix this... I just, this is written by adults who are supposed to spend months thinking about, caring for and deciding on storylines for these characters and this series feels more like they sat around for months and wrote this in 10 minutes.

I hope that once people get over the whole 'die skins die' reaction they'll want to go back to the roots of these characters that we love and take the potential that was there and really create something worthwhile for them :)

God, yes. This was the culmination of what, 9 months work or more or so? How is that possible? How is this the best they could do.

This has made me love fandom even more, cause there's actually genuine talent, combined with a hell of a lot of heart, out there. I'm sort of relishing the thought of what's to come :)

To be honest I think I enjoy fandom more than the show... like I'm thankful for S3 for creating these characters and giving them to us but if they're going to treat them so carelessly, like they did in S4 then I want them to just sign the rights over to us so we can heal their wounds and fix all of their shoddy and thoughtless mistakes!

Yep, I cared about each charcacter less and less as the series went on (I even lost a bit of love for NE, which should never, EVER happen). In retrospect, thank god they only had 8 episodes to ruin a perfectly good thing.

Seriously dude, I agree. Whatever did they do this year? I just can't believe that they wasted the potential they had for these characters. Very disappointing and I can honestly say that I'm not interested in their third generation at all because if they don't care about the characters they create then why should I?

On the other hand I still adore fandom and I think everyone here has more brains to them than all of the Skins writers added together and I'm very excited to see how everyone attempts to create their own S4's.
