For a coherent review of Homecoming that doesn't involve me flailing about, read audrey229 's beautiful take here and tariel22's awesome review here.

As for Isis...

I agree, it was the interactions that made this episode.

The reveal was...I'm not sure it could have been more perfect. And the decision to have the last shot be of Clark's awestruck, happy, lovestruck smile was brilliant.

One of (the many) things I liked was the Infamous reference. First of all Clark babbling nervously on the roof was precious, but I loved that callback - that he'd told her before, things got out of control but she was perfect.

I loved that too, because in all the chaos, Lois was the one bright spot. The fact that they had Clark voice that to her was great. It also reaffirms the fact that Clark does eventually tell Lois about that time reversal and probably also what happened in Pandora judging by what Future!Lois said in Homecoming about "touch it once, shame on you, touch it twice, shame on me."

I'm so glad that you posted a review!!!

Count me in as someone who loves Cat. I think she's completely hilarious and fun. I would love to see some more Clark/Cat/Lois interactions on the show.

I LOVED LOVED Tess last night. Oh my God...when she was reading that book to Alexander....I was like, "Oh no Tess! What are you doing? You're falling in love with this child and he's going to become a monster! Don't do it, Tess!!!" And yet, of course it was completely heart wrenching to see her reading to him. Oh Tess....what's going to happen to you???

I'll admit...I thought the Isis stuff was stupid. It was more that I just didn't think they needed that plot. But whatever. There was still a ton of great stuff in this episode. The last scene alone was worth the whole episode.

Clark's legs flying up in the air will never cease to be hilarious.
Clark is happy! I love my happy Clark!

I think the Isis stuff was unnecessary as well, but i can forgive almost anything that goves us such great character moments, lol. Plus, the more I watch it, the more I tolerate it, haha.

Would you believe that I've watched the episode about 3 times this weekend and I STILL cry on the Tess/Olive/Clark, Tess/Alexander, and Clark/Lois reveal scene. EVery. Single. Time.

So far, all I saw was the end, and the reveal. *loved* it!

There's such a difference in this relationship and Clark's relationship with Lana. I feel like Lois and Clark are really equals. Of course, they're also grown people who have a better idea of who they are and what they want. Plus, they are also cute as bunnies and instead of Teh Epic Love, these are people who, as well as love each other, really *like* each other. It's nice to watch. :)

This so much. And these are the types of relationships I prefer. I know Clark and Lana did have a friendship, but it wasn't the same type of friendship that Clark and Lois had because Clois wasn't based on a crush, and so the friendship wasn't tainted by that. But instead they have the type of friendship where you can actually see them laughing at and with each other and no one's feelings being hurt by it. Plus their chemistry is awesome as hell.

I want Clois porn from you. Just saying.

Oh you totally could. You could even have it be Whitney's suggestion so he could watch...or have Lois suggest Clark/Whitney so she could watch. Hell, I don't even care, lol.

Speaking of Cat, I know some ppl don’t like her and it’s completely understandable, but she’s almost like a breath of fresh air.
I think she's a great comic foil and the pen scene with Lois was hilarious, poor Clark trying to broker peace.

The Clark/Lois scene at the end was, for me, better than any of their scenes in Homecoming because it felt spontaneous and real (and that the actors were having fun too!)

I still love their Homecoming scenes, but their scenes here for me, as Roxy pointed out, showcased not only their love for each other, but how much they LIKE each other. I applaud Smallville for portraying them as frenemies to what we have now.
