Much-Needed Firefly Fun, More Thoughts about Carmen

Firefly was fun last night, and it was great to blow off some of the steam that had built up last time, although my character did have an extremely awkward conversation with her husband as part of the episode (I shall post a full summary later), but it wasn't overly adversarial, so it was still a break from the… more hostile intensity of the last ( Read more... )

It's been really neat to see you struggle with that, and I know that Lina's certainly been more reluctant to see Carmen in any sort of physical danger. You know, as her doctor.

I found it interesting to hear that Carmen hears Lina's careful non-prying as judging. Or at least provoking of uncomfortable self-examination.

It's been an interesting struggle! It's been a while since I've really had to struggle with a character like this, and I think it's making me a better player. At the very least, I guess I'm (if you'll excuse the pun) building character.

Re: Lina's non-prying, it was an interesting realization for me, too. I don't see Carmen as having spent much of her past in contemplation of herself, excepting shortly after Three Hills. Perhaps that feeling of judging is froming from within, rather than from without.

I'm interested to see what will happen when Lina finds out about Three Hills.

Incidentally, was there anything you found very challenging on Tuesday? Perhaps with Slade, before he revealed who Carmen was speaking to?

I was impressed with your lead on the whole computer/gettin' us in the back room thing, by the way.
