The thing that gets me is: The LDS Church spent $20 million to do this to us...to 'protect the family unit' so they claim.

If they really cared about families....think about how many orphans, how many battered women, how many parents who can't pay for healthcare or their mortgage in this FUCKED economy could have been helped by that $20 million. Or, even worse, the $70 million spent by both campaigns, fighting over this thing that the Mormon church and the rest of the religious right wanted on the ballot.
