This reminds me of a flamewar I got into in the cosplay forum when I still went on gaia.

It was some lolita related thread or something and a friend of mine posted in the thread. She had a picture in her signature that was kind of dark so it gave off the appearance of her having dark skin. So some girl comes in the thread ranting about how dark skinned people can't dress lolita unless they lighten their skin or something ridiculous like that.
