Yeah, I had to have my girlfriend fasten up the side of the chestplate for me because I couldn't reach that far around the front of the armor. I couldn't bend to the waist, and I could barely ger my arms to bend to a 90 degree angle. I also had to walk slowly so that the leg pieces wouldn't fall down, but I'm hoping to fix that for the next time I wear it.
I've been working on it for probably four months now, though I was doing other costumes during that time as well and didn't always work on it on a daily basis. The only time that I really kept track of was when I worked on painting the chest piece for about three days straight, taking at least 18 hours total.
The armor is primarily craft foam, coated with school glue to stiffen it and give it a smooth texture. It was then painted with acrylic paint. The gauntlet pieces were hand sewn to gloves, and the collar and chest piece fasten with velcro, with ties on the side of the armor to provide extra support. The shorts are some sort of faux silk.
A- Absolutely gorgeous. The level of detail is stunning on the metallic parts and the clothes and... it really looks like real armour. I'm impressed!! *___*; Beautiful photography too!

How long did that take and what materials did you use?

I'm curious though, what kind of paint did you use? The gold/metal looks very convincing (would have never guessed it was just painted craft foam).

I just used acrylic paint, in these two brands.
