ah...there is nothing like a 'bats show. crazy mix of people...my favorite are the parents who dress up like the magic chicken and bring their five year old child.

no chickens this time around for people dressing up. but there were tons of Cadets dress up with the swim cap, googles, etc. to be seen all around. even one of the anti-aquabats. dress up fun to be had all around. including girls with huge mohawks. wait thats not dress up. thats just the standard. nonetheless fun stuff. how many 'bat shows have you been to? this is my first and i had only heard their album the fury of.

quick story...my boyfriend is from redlands and so is robot. he went to high school with him and they worked next door to each other. jonathan says he's a jerk. i can't mention the aquabats without him growling. but he still loves the band.
i only have "fury of" too. but between my friends and my boyfriend's mp3 collection, i've heard a lot of their stuff. if you don't have them already, you need to download "pizza day" and "i fell asleep on my arm" "i fell asleep..." is a song making fun of korn. it is helarryus.
i've seen them twice! the first time i saw them, i hadn't even heard them. but sara promised me i would love them, and she's always right about bands, so i went. the second time i saw them was at this place out here in san diego called soma. soma was the punk venue back in the day, but they closed it down a few years ago. it just reopened it this year, and the bats were so happy about it, they played on the side stage so they could have a packed, tiny, intimate show for their soma return.
