Expectation: Peniel + Sungjae
Reality: Youngjae + Peniel
Daehyun cringes at the 527th post he has read over the past hour. Jeez, is it really that big of a deal?
He doesn’t even know why the photo has been gaining a lot of attention; seriously, there’s nothing special about it. Really there isn’t. And he has been convincing himself for the past hour that there’s nothing exceptional about the conversation Peniel had posted on his IG. So what if Youngjae is getting all mushy and chessy with Peniel? So what if Youngjae mas mentioned Peniel is his good friend during one of the episodes of B.A.P attack and in Daehyun’s opinion, it wasn’t necessary. What if Youngjae calls Peniel once in a while? What if Youngjae sends him cute emoticons? So what if Youngjae says he only has Peniel? Is Daehyun your best friend? No.
Daehyun is only a co-worker.
His mind suddenly shifts back to reality when he hears his phone ringing.
“Hello” Daehyun answers wearily.
“Why didn’t you eat dinner?”
The voice makes Daehyun shiver, it’s sweet like a sugar coated chocolate.
“I’m not hungry. That’s all”
“Dae, you are never not hungry.”
“Im not hungry Jae.”
That’s the end of the conversation because Youngjae hangs up and Daehyun is left heaving a saddening exhale of breath. Soon enough, the door swings open and Youngjae appears, hands busy carrying a tray.
“Here, eat.” He says and Daehyun is very much surprised when Youngjae places the tray on their bedside table, sits beside him on the bed and starts handing him a plate full of food.
“I haven’t eaten yet. Let’s just eat together” Youngjae says.
But Daehyun doesn’t want to eat; he has no appetite even when the pizza is screaming at him.
“Peniel and I” Youngjae suddenly exclaims and Daehyun’s heart is suddenly smashing on his ribcage. He’s not prepared. What the ( ... )
