You really do this pairing justice--there's a fond element of realism here, without the two of them becoming tragic. I adore how Winry's becoming his diary. It's very matter-of-fact, almost exasperated affection.
It almost seems as though he’s trying to pass the time writing about stray cats and Al’s compassion for them. But that’s how Ed is; he kills time with words, the filling words that go nowhere. This is probably going to remain in my head for days--it's so Ed.
Ahhhh! You flatter me so much with your comment *__* It fills my heart to be complimented on doing any pairing justice--especially Ed/Winry, if only because I'm so attached to both characters and their relationship.
