My name is Brittany, I am fifteen, and I want to read the entire Encyclopædia Britannica.

As you may have noticed, "brittanica" is a cheesy, intentional misspelling of "Britannica" to fit my name. Incidentally, this journal is Friends Only, so you'll have to comment to be added and see the rest of the entries

This promises to be interesting for me, anyway. I love learning. I don't know how interesting the blog will turn out to be . . . but we'll see. Maybe if I include enough stories of me embarrassing myself while trying to show off my new found knowledge.

I've read some very boring blogs in my time... so don't worry about keeping me entertained... You will learn a lot I am sure... I've read the kids encyclopedia... It helped me greatly... but the Britanica... that's some heavy duty stuff...

Heh, I like it too (obviously), but mostly because it works. Rarely can I get layouts to work properly, and then they tend not to look right on my Mac . . .

If you hadn't said it, I would not have guessed you were 15. Congratulations on reaching a mastery of the English language that many college students have yet to attain! :)

I would be most interested in reading how things progress, though I will say fairly and up-front that I very rarely comment. On anything. (On the flip side, I don't write very often either, so I'm not going to spam your friends list. ;)

And hey, if you're showing off your newfound knowledge, maybe I'll learn something too - or even discover the desire to follow in your footsteps. Eventually. (Being a broke 20-something isn't much more conducive to buying encyclopedias than being a broke teenager is, unfortunately.)

Thank you for your compliments. It's no problem at all if you don't comment often; I'm the same way. And you're in luck: I can be an insufferable show-off, so there's a decent chance that at least one or two of the many facts I talk of will be new to you. :)
