You do realise that if the cats fetched the papers that there would be little teeth holes in them? And then they would get distracted by the sound of the paper rustling and attack it. So really they are being helpful and ecologically responsible by refusing to fetch the papers for you.

Mmmm. Next time make cranberry scones. And then ship them to Maryland. Currant is OK, but cranberry is best. IMHO.

I had a cat who would viciously attack any thing that was coming out of the printer. It was funny but sometimes annoying.

As long as they don't hit a button on the printer which makes it spit out a sheet of paper. Repeatedly. With much fascination.
