Am home from justhuman's where a MOST spiffy weekend was had. I managed to make it to her house in spite of going down completely the wrong highway at one point and - and this is the important part - due to me being what amounts to a GUY because I would not stop and ask for directions because BY GOD THAT WOULD MEAN ADMITTING I WAS WRONG ( Read more... )

you do not convey that by having her jaw open all the time like she's waiting for somebody to put a quarter in

Yes! Why was there not a director, or a somebody to call 'yokel' on her? Or at least get her some dayquil?

Glad you're back online, even though you were mere miles away from me and I did not get to see you!

I am thinking of signing up for a local belly dancing class. This is mostly your doing. Tell me why this would be a good thing? *whimper*

Because it's fun! Because we can talk about shimmies and other fun belly dance things!

What kind are you doing? Cabaret? Tribal? Other?

Um! I don't know. I'm looking all around the site but it doesn't really tell me. It says Near Eastern Style? Apparently she hires herself out for tribal, fusion, cabaret and all sorts of interesting things with candles, swords and wings. But the class information is pretty generic; I think I'm going to have to call.

It's only 6 weeks for beginning/intro and it says basics: hip circles, shimmy, figure 8, snake arms, undulations, hip lifts & drops, and then for the more advanced classes it doesn't say anything.

yay - glad you made it home safe. I've kinda been sitting at my computer, pretending not to nap.

You did not ask stupid question. You had perfectly reasonable questions, even if you were strangely paranoid about your sewing machine potentially biting ;-)

I'm glad you came down, because I had a great weekend :-D

I would certainly never encourage you to do that, just because that way I benefit too. 8)
