you know i love the way you write these guys, and having buch dream of fenway, and the way you describe it so i'm almost there myself is just wonderful. as always, i love the little details you sneak in, buch taking music appreciation in college and only learning that classical stuff puts him to sleep, wanting ham and not salami.

Fenway's kind of a dreamlike place, isn't it? Pretty easy to write about it in a dream, I think.

I was wondering what these guys would listen to on a long bus ride home -- it couldn't be the stuff they're listening to before games, right? Got to be something a little on the soothing side, I'd guess. And for some reason I kept picturing Clay in a music appreciation class fighting to stay awake, and the two images just went together perfectly. Nobody could sleep to Beethoven or Mozart, so it had to be Brahms or Bach. ;-)

And I got the idea for the food from a former minor league hockey player who discussed post-game road meals in a blog he wrote for The Hockey News. Funny as hell. His recommendation: Always go for something cold, because anything hot is going to be cold by the time you get it.

Anyway, thanks, glad you enjoyed. Part three will hopefully come along sooner than Part two did.

Aw I loved this. I frickin love Iggy Suarez so much haha there's just something about him. I can relate to Clay here because I took a world music class that was very difficult to stay awake in haha. Oh and I love the food thing I'd totally do that "are you shitting me I don't want this" except I love salami haha...ok shutting up now. Good job ythough seriously can't wait for the next part. :)

LOL thanks. :-) I love Iggy too, so I just had to give him a little cameo. Just checking the PawSox roster as I was writing this and it looks like he's been sent back down, so I hope he enjoyed AAA while he was there.
