I know you wrote this a long time ago, and somehow I managed to stumble upon this story despite the fact that I've never watched a full baseball game and had to Wiki the two players in this story, and I'm just some random user (and at this point you're probably thinking--assuming you've even read this comment--that this user is nuts and can't form a coherent sentence) but I'm so glad that I found this piece. It's simply stunning.
