[It had taken a while, even with drone parents being exceptionally easy to get money from, before he managed to buy a sewing machine. He could have just waited for one to show up in the mail or something, but sewing was too much of a habit for him to stop and wait for who knows how long. [Naoto didn't want to be seen like this -- she took back alleys and side street after side street to avoid any sort of witnesses. There was only one person she knew she could trust to see her in such a state. Only one person who could help her and he was here. Kanji Tatsumi was here.

The house wasn't difficult to find and neither was figuring out where Kanji was. The whir of the sewing machine gave him away. She ran towards the source of the sound finding an open window just waiting for her. Clearly someone was looking out for her today.

She took a couple of steps back and ran for the open window. Grabbing on to the ledge, she pulled herself up and over before crashing to the ground with an unceremonious THUD dressed in the most hideous thing imaginable. A poodle skirt.]

[Kanji jerked, luckily taking his hands away from the machine and avoiding any accidents involving messed up stitching or sewed up fingers. The first, immediate thought was that he needed to hide the sewing machine, and then the second was that Naoto had just jumped into his window, and the third was that she was wearing a poodle skirt.

So he was left staring, the unfinished penguin sitting on the sewing machine.]

Naoto? What're--What're you wearing?

[She pushes herself up off the ground, dusting herself off with a heavy blush on her cheeks. It's uncertain if it's from running or embarrassment, but it's safe to assume it's a bit of both with emphasis on the latter. She tries to look him in the eye, but it proves to be an impossible task at the moment. Instead she stares at the floor, glaring at her crisp, white bobby socks.]

It... this is all that was in my closet.

Oh. [Right, 1950s America or something... He looks down at the penguin sitting in front of him, has a minor fit of panic, and attempts to block it with an arm in a way he thinks isn't totally obvious but actually is.]

So you came in my window?
