It kind of went downhill from there. I do like how the bad guy's monologue pretty much explained the whole creative process ("Hey, wouldn't it be cool if Hourman got injected with the stuff from Crank!?") only with poor delivery.

I don't think it's treated as much as a power as a side-effect of the Miraclo fix. The visions, as I've heard him explain, just show up randomly.

That was an interesting concept for the story... but the actual film itself was incredibly bad.

Fan Films are pretty much there only for enthusiasm and practice. You can't really expect too much from them.
