I assumed there was ANOTHER Tribble out there somewhere and you'd have to be super geeky to know the non-Star Trek reference.

Fuck, I am such a nerd. Also, I didn't try the blank and just answered in the comments.

SHIELD: EITHER Supreme Headquarters, International Espionage, Law-Enforcement Division OR Strategic Hazard Intervention, Espionage Logistics Division.

OHOTMU: Official Handbook Of The Marvel Universe.

TARDIS: Time And Relative Dimensions In Space

Oh good. It'd been a while since I'd see the original SHIELD version so wasn't sure if I got it right. Never seen Dr. Who, so I know of the TARDIS, but was going to start guessing from "A" on.

He's bleeding demised and Mother Box were not part of my standard education.

A) Monty Python's Flying Circus: The Parrot Sketch

B) Jack Kirby's Fourth World comics, particularly the New Gods. Also, my nickname for my iPhone.

You're forgetting "Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division," which is what it stands for in the movies.

I don't know what "The Pit" is, unless you mean "The Pitt" from Marvel's New Universe.

athelind January 8 2010, 19:41:09 UTC
That was my assumption, since he also misspelled "Wookiee".

'The Pit' was the nickname of the GI JOE headquarters, located under the Chaplain's Assistant School's motor pool, at Fort Wadsworth, Staten Island, New York.

At least, in the comics.
