That specific store survives... actually, I have no idea, but it might have something to do with the markup on the products.

I've picked up action figures myself from there, but only if they're out of print and a pain to find elsewhere. I don't know how much of the model stock cycles through, but I know that the blind box figures sell through their stock quickly enough. The action figures depend on the subject matter - there's some still there from when the store first opened. The store is owned by the same people who have a place in Pacific Mall where all the product does move rather quickly (and the store is so packed you can't comfortably walk around in it), so my guess is that one store is supporting another.

Could be, yeah. I know one store that has another purely to hold overflow stock.

The markup is probably interesting. I wonder how much those Thunderbirds toys cost in a regular shop?

Over in Japan? Toys like that should be under 1000 yen/10 dollars per a box or so, I think.

I did find a case of them over at Hobby Link Japan:

Assuming their exchange is correct, the toys should have been in the 7 to 8 CDN range. I think they were going for at least eleven or so at the store?

ETA: Of course, that's not including shipping, but HLJ has a free worldwide shipping deal right now, so I left it out. You'd also be buying extras if you got the case, but that's just spare parts/potential presents for friends. That's what I'd do with them, at least.

Yeah, that's a better deal. We can try that place next time. Thanks for the heads up!
