A) Saw episode 5 of No Heroics. The hackneyed "guy goes to a support group and makes fun of everyone else there" bit gets pulled out with Timebomb. She Force has a secret identity that she uses to keep from getting lonely, and apparently Norse Dave was in the Falklands war with Electroclash's dad and Excelsor, which makes me wonder, how fucking ( Read more... )

Spelljammer was the game that turned my desire to play an Illithid up a few dials into an obsession. ;)

Oh, totally awesome. I wonder how different it was from their original intention.

I love Spelljammer. I still have the boxed set and a ton of suppliments. I even have the notebook that I created about 30 new ships for the game world.

I also have the Planescape boxed set and several suppliments.

I think I might wait until 4.5 or 5th edition comes out before buying anything from WoTC. I have never, and will never (especially now since it is already obsolete) buy any 3rd Edition stuff. It was just a fundamentally flawed system imo.

Of course, considering that I am trying to publish my own role-playing system... everything else is competition *lol*

Spelljammer is just full of neat ideas. Didn't the dwarfs fly castles through space?

It's the kind of thing that's fun regardless of system or anything like that.

Oooo! Spelljammer! I LOVED that setting!

Might have to GM me something similar when I finally roll out the PBEM I'm currently conjuring rules for.

In one of my campaigns a wizard crossed a Troll with Pig and the "Pig of everflowing Pork" was born.

Basically you could slice off a leg or other large portion, the pig would regenerate, and then you could have your pig and eat it too. All you had to do was feed it some scraps (and watch your hands since they had larger, sharper teeth), and you had a tough, nearly indestructable and renewable source of food.

Sure it looked and tasted a little funny, but when you are starving...

I asked on my weblog a few months back whether .gif was pronounced "as in peanut butter or as in space hippo." I'm glad someone got it.
