What is a Reverse Big Bang? For standard big bangs the writers sign up first and produce a draft, to be claimed by an artist who then makes art to accompany the story. For a reverse big bang, the artists make art, which is then claimed by a writer, who then writes a story to accompany the art ( Read more... )

"Can I use a WIP, or write a sequel to one of my existing stories?
No - because of the nature of the big bang, you should write something completely new, using the art as a prompt."

Everything else is clear, but I have problems with this one. I'm not going to use WIP, because I have only one huge fic at this time.
For this, I will, however, write something that might be considered as a sequel to one or more of my stories - and that's the thing that's confusing me. My Leverage stories are all part of one series, verse, or whatever it's called. I did the same with TheBigBang - I wrote the story and though it's complete and can stand alone, it's now part 5 or 6 in my series.
When I claim art, I will again make a story that will take some place in my series, and at the same time fulfill the prompt, and be able to stay alone.
Is that okay, or I have to give up on this? Nobody objected on The Big Bang story.

This is a bit of a long answer - hopefully it's not confusing ( ... )

Uh-oh, I don't write AU's, fussions or crossovers - my stories ar canon, gen, case fics, with canon pairings. Thanks for the warning.

Maybe I exaggerated a little when I said my story will be a part of series - that series are just case fics, independent, connected only with a mention of one plant, and maybe some previous character or two - nothing more.

So, basically, I have to hurry up and claim something that's not some of mentioned above, before someone else takes it.
Sorry if I'm bothering you, but this is the first time I meet Reverse BB, and I don't know what to expect :D
And I've never seen an example of art used as a prompt - what if someone just put their heads on a jungle background? I can write a case fic placed in the jungle, right? Or I have to contact someone for more info?
