It's a sin to see natural light as it is, but the artificial light here is too bright for me to see. I have to wear my hood. I can see pretty well by candle light.

A whip, used in the equestrian fields, for training and directing horses. It is also employed by other individuals, as you so quaintly phrased, as a rope for hurting people. An intriguing fact I only just recently came across is that the whip, when correctly cast produces a crack-a noise which is not the product of the whip hitting itself as so commonly believed, but as something of an explosion of air, as the tail of the whip breaks and exceeds the very speed of sound.
