September 24, 1964 - George and Ringo's flat, 2:15 p.m.

Dec 04, 2008 23:46

We had just gotten home from the tour only two days ago and I hadn't done much except attempt to get some much needed rest. George had phoned me and had invited me to his and Ringo's flat for a chat this afternoon and I was more than willing to go. I was already starting to get bored being cooped up in the house with Cyn and I just wanted to get ( Read more... )

I opened up the door, while reading a magazine that heralded our happy return back to gay old England. I pulled open the door and glanced at him. I grinned and turned back around, heading back into the flat.

"Hello, Johnny. They're all happy we're home. The Queen had a tizzy and blew the fuses of the royal fuse box with an overbash of excitement," I fell back into my couch with a slight bounce.

"Hey." I followed him in and set down next to him on the couch. I furrowed my brow and tried to glance over his shoulder to see what he was reading.

I shrugged before leaning back into the couch.

"She's fine. We had a bit of talk when I got in about well.. stuff. We haven't talked much since then. I really had to get some sleep." I paused before turning to look at him.

"How are things your way?"

I raised an eyebrow, the baby! I had forgotten all about the little thing since that last night he'd told me about it. We'd stayed completely off the subject in fact and I wasn't about to go dragging it up now.

"Oh, so far so good. Ringo went over to see Maureen. I've hardly let him out of the bedroom since after the first night we got back. It's been a rush," I smiled wider then heard the buzzer on the washer going off.

I sighed and tossed my book to the side as I headed to the machine.
"How're you and Paul, then?"

I chuckled a little as I watched him run over to the washer.

"We're fine. I haven't really seen him since we got back." I shrugged.

Of course, that wasn't because I hadn't wanted to. I couldn't just up and leave Cyn to go see him the first day we got back or anything. That wouldn't have helped with our current situation and all...
