really random: actress Carey Mulligan's father was delivered by Mary McCartney, Paul's mother. She told him so when they were both at the Golden Globe's. (And mentioned it to a couple of newspapers, hence my knowing about it.)

That really is random, but very neat. I'd never heard that.

August 16, 1965: John Lennon's Mark II Mellotron is delivered to Kenwood for installation in his home studio.
12 years later on the same date, Elvis died.
Stupidly random, but factual nonetheless. lol.

The man who accidentally killed Julia Lennon eventually found a job as a postal carrier... his route included delivering mail to 20 Forthlin Road.

That second one was a gut punch to me. I'm assuming that the McCartney's still lived here when that became his route,

It was a general fact that our Beatle taxi tour guy told us, no real detail just the coincidence. The wiki entry for Julia says at least in 1964 part of the guys rounds was to deliver bags of fan mail to Forthlin.

I'm sure someone in Beatle fanland probably knows the specifics of his postal career. I've never looked into it very seriously.

I can only recall that the world premiere of AHDN in '64 was on July 6, on a veery important anniversary ;)
