It's odd; I was just saying to someone yesterday that I hope the dynamism of his live performance comes across on the new album. But it's not coming across in this recording or video.
Maybe, if he was more alive in this video people might be more responsive to wanting to see and hear more from him? Yes, I was thinking that. I'm sure some musicians find the studio too sterile and need the giveback of an audience to come out of their shells. Which is interesting to ponder considering I encountered a far more reserved James when I met him after the show.
