Oh my goodness. Does the fire department know what caused the fire? Did the father make it?

not that i know of as of yet. but pg&e where out here at about 7am

and the father made it out with only some minor burns and smoke inhilation

PG&E respond to any fire where there is gas or electrical service. They are the only ones that can properly turn off such supplies and then verify that they are secure to a review board if needed.

And if it is both services, then you will actually have two PG&E guys there, one for the electrical, and one for the gas. They won't turn off the other, unless it is absolutely necessary.

How scary for everyone involved. I am glad you were able to help the family. I am very sad to hear about the young boy and will be sending many good thoughts their way. Also glad the fire didn't spread to your and other apartments.

i am very worried about the 1 and a half year old boy that my brother ended up caring for. he was coughing really badly.

there was some damage to the surounding units. but nothing past that.
