The peculiar thing about Teo is his lack of fear, you decide. He throws his head back and snaps down his goggles and laughs every time he launches himself into something new, and dangerous, and when he topples out of his chair (and your heart breaks a little) he just pushes onto his elbows and dares himself to go again.
Other people don’t bear a feral grin when they test prototypes off precipices hundreds of feet above solid ground - but Teo does.
He’s going to be something great, you think, looking not at his lineage but at the grip of his fingers on his brake, confident and self-assured.
(When you first see him tumble down like a leaf the thought that something went wrong doesn’t even cross your mind until your laughter isn’t echoed by his and the reverberations of panic numb your throat and why isn‘t he up yet?)
